Having originally trained as an illustrator Patrick decided to pursue his love of fine art. The commissions he has received have varied greatly in subject and medium. He has work in private collections in the UK, the United States and South Africa amongst others. In the last two years he has undertaken a period of study in classical realism with the aim of refreshing his skills, approach and thinking. This has resulted in a move away from a 'photographic' illustrative style to a more naturalistic painterly approach and particularly a greater emphasis on plein-air painting.
