KANE CUNNINGHAM

Kane Cunningham is perhaps best known for buying a house on the edge of a cliff to create a work of art.  This art installation was a global media story due to the erosion of the cliff edge and the imminent demise of the building.  However, his main work is landscape painting and abstract figurative work which he explains as a fusion of JMW Turner and Picasso.

Kane was an art lecturer for 35 years and recently retired to become a full time painter based in Scarborough North Yorkshire.  He has exhibited nationally across the UK and exhibits regularly in galleries across North Yorkshire. His present studio is situated in an old and impressive redundant railway building used for passengers in the C19th.'
